THE RACE

We are excited to announce the Newcastle-Gateshead Marathon, Half Marathon & 10k will return on Sunday 4th May 2025 presented by Nuun and in support of Children North East! This ROAD CLOSED course taking in the famous landmarks of Gateshead including Gateshead Millennium Bridge, Sage Gateshead, BALTIC, Tyne Bridge, Swing Bridge and finishing in the iconic Gateshead International Stadium.

THE VENUE

Gateshead International Stadium is the third largest sporting venue in Tyne and Wear and the North East’s only IAAF-standard athletics stadium. The venue has hosted IAAF Diamond & Golden League Athletics and the European Cup featuring the superstars of athletics. You will be joining many World Champions & Olympians have crossed the finish line at Gateshead International Stadium where five world records broken in track and field on the famous track.

THE COURSE

This ROAD CLOSED marathon, half marathon and 10k starts and finishes at the world famous Gateshead International Stadium by running around the track and crossing the finish line cheered home by family and friends.
